Dr. Valle-Cintron is a general dentist in our Washington, D.C. office. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, and he’s a certified Invisalign® provider.
After receiving his doctor of dental surgery from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, he completed his postdoctoral training at Howard University in Washington, D.C., serving as chief resident.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Valle-Cintron has received many awards and honors, including the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award and the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Award. He has also participated in several medical mission trips both locally and abroad, including trips to the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Dr. Valle-Cintron chose to become a dentist because he loves being able to improve both a person’s health and appearance at the same time. Earning the trust and respect of each patient is as important to him as creating healthy, beautiful smiles. He makes sure he restores more than just teeth, he restores his patients’ confidence.
Dr. Bogdan Popa is a general dentist in our Washington DC office, who enjoys bringing healthy and beautiful smiles into his patients life. He had always been fascinated with architecture, healthcare and engineering so the ability to combine all three areas of interest into the dentistry profession was an ideal combination.
Dr. Popa graduated from Rutgers School of Dentistry in New Jersey in 2019 and from Titu Maiorescu School of Dentistry in Romania, Bucharest in 2012.
His preventative and conservative approach helps the patient achieve long term results. He is Invisalign certified and also loves restorative cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Kwon is a general dentist serving patients in both our Washington, D.C. and Rockville offices. He provides skillful, customized treatment and highly aesthetic results using high-tech tools.
Dr. Kwon believes prevention and top-quality care are the keys to a lifetime of good oral health. He is an excellent communicator and educates patients to help them understand the recommendations he makes.
Dr. Kwon earned his doctor of dental surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, and he stays up to date on the latest advancements in his field through continuing education courses. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society.
Dr. Fakhre graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She diagnoses and treats a wide variety of oral health conditions and is especially passionate about/interested in cosmetic procedures. She strives to ensure that each of her patients receives the best, most individualized care possible and prioritizes her patient’s comfort throughout their appointments.
During her free time, Dr. Fakhre enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing sports. She is especially blessed to have had the opportunity to live abroad and travel the world; a few of her most memorable travel experiences include living in Grenada, a third-world Caribbean island, for two years, going on a mission trip to Beirut, Lebanon, exploring the diverse landscapes of Iceland, and eating the most amazing steak in Brazil! Playing sports and exercising has also always been a core part of her life; between playing tennis, pickleball, and exploring new hiking trails, staying active isn’t negotiable when it comes to keeping fit and sustaining a clear headspace. Dr. Fakhre recently moved to the Bethesda area and is excited to now call Maryland her new home. She is looking forward to working together to achieve your healthiest smile!
Dr. Jean Li is a board-certified periodontist, dedicated to providing the best periodontal and implant service for patients in Dlight Dental. Besides her DDS degree, Dr. Li also completed additional periodontal training in Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology which is a recognized specialty by American Dental Association. To be a diplomate of American board of periodontology, significant achievement beyond the 3 years of training on the periodontology is needed. With her more than 10years of experience on periodontology and implant surgery, she will deliver the finest periodontal care to patients in Dlight Dental.
Dr. Kim is a board-certified periodontist and an active member of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She further trained in the General Dental Residency program at Jersey City Medical Center. Dr. Kim continued her dental training with the completion of a three-year specialty program in periodontics at Temple University where she received a certificate in periodontics and dental implants and a master’s degree in oral biology. Her training included non-surgical and surgical periodontics, implants, bone regeneration, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Kim is committed to delivering the highest quality dental treatment and places high value on prevention and long-term oral health. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for all her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys travel and reading as well as spending time with family.
Dr.David Desta is Board Certified Endodontist serving our both Washington, DC and Rockville, MD locations. Dr.Desta's passion for providing quality dental care is evident in his education and experience. Since his younger years, he was interested in scienxes. In 2000, he received his Bachelor in Microbology, followed by a Master degree in Pathology from Boston University where he continued his research career. Dr.Desta decided to apply his knowledge of microbiology and pathology in patient care. He enrolled at Howard University for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduation, Dr.Desta completed a General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital in New York. He entered private practice in 2015 and became a comprehensive general dentist in Maryland and DC. After 2 more years of intense training which began in 2020, he completed a specialist Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of West Virginia School of Dentistry, where he served as Chief Resident and completed innovative research in CBCT Imaging in the field of endodontics.
Dr.Desta believes in the right for all people to receive exceptional dental treatment. He is excited to scale his expertise and provide outstanding care in the field of Endodontics, while understanding and spending many years in comprehensive dental care.
By far the best dental experience I have ever had. I had a lot of work done here - extraction, implant, cleaning, fillings etc. and for someone who is usually afraid of the dentist they made me comfortable throughout the year. I recommended this place to a close friend and he had the same experience. I had to move out of state otherwise this would be my dental office for life. I’m very lucky to have come across the people at this office. If I could give this place 100 stars I would.

This practice is extremely good. The periodontist was very informative about the work she was doing, and the upcoming dental work that needs to be completed. The front desk staff, as well as the individual handling the finances, are courteous, knowledgeable and informative. I am appreciative that I found this practice.
